Quality-of-Life Perception among Young Residents and Visitors: The Impact of COVID-19

This research intends to measure the quality of life (QoL) perception, from perspective residents and tourists towards Coimbra, a city with an important World Heritage Site, as classified by UNESCO. In these times, preserving tangible intangible heritage is so for future memories. Identifying QoL perceptions through eyes allows improvement community well-being destination both stakeholders. Starting this assumption, study aims to: (i) tourists’ residents’ on (QoL); (ii) analyze impact COVID-19 pandemic perceptions, perspective. To achieve objectives, questionnaire was disseminated in two different phases, before during pandemic. Results show that general, exhibited, periods, medium high QoL, exception made Urban Issues domain decreased even more Furthermore, results show, tourists, perception Issues, Way Life, Community Pride Awareness, Economic Strength, Recreation Amenities significantly positively their Well-Being perception. New paths academics practitioners are presented at end, well limitations evidence research.
